Indian General Service 1854. Timothy Betts. Orderly. HMS FLY

Awarded to Timothy Betts Orderly with Her Majesties Royal Navy. Indian General Service 1854. Bar Perak. (T. BETSS. ORD. H.M.S. FLY.) Born 25th December 1854 in Hoe, near East Dereham in Norfolk. Enlisted into navy on the 10th April 1871 with the position of Boy Second Class from the period of the 14th April 1871 serving for 10 years. He saw service on HMS Valiant later serving on HMS Fly as an Orderly, to which the recipient served in the Perak campaign where upon he was awarded the IGS 154 with bar Perak. He later transferred 15th March 1881 to which he served on HMS Sheldrake. *Showing slight ding at 5 O'clock. (with copy service papers)
