Awarded to Sergeant Alfred Bearsley served with 1/4th Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry seeing action during the battle of the Somme, later serving with the 2/4th Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry. 1914-15  Star, British War Medal &Victory Medal (2123 PTE. A. BEARSLEY, OXF. & BUCKS. L.I.), Indian General Service 1908 Clasp ‘Burma 1930-32’. (5374103 SGT. A. BEARSLEY. OXF. & BUCKS. L.I.), Defence Medal 1939-45, Medal War Medal 1939-45, Jubilee 1935 Medal and Army L. S. & G.C. (GeoV) (5374103 SJT. A. BEARSLEY. OXF. & BUCKS. L.I.). On the 28th June 1915 2123 Private Alfred Bearsley was sent to the French Theatre of Operations during World War One being awarded the 1914-15 TRIO. Later in the thirties he and the regiment was serving in Maymo in Upper Burma during the period between of 1930 to 1932 which the regiment also saw service in Rangoon. Which he was later awarded the IGS 1908 with clasp ‘Burma 1930-32. He was also awarded the Jubilee 1935 Medal. During the Second World War during service at home he was awarded the Defence 1939-45 and War medal 1939-45. During his time in the army he was also awarded the Army Long Service & Good Conduct Medal (GeoV) with the fixed ‘Regular Army Bar’.
