Awarded to 3293 Private Edward Walton of the 2nd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment. Queen South Africa, Clasps Cape Colony, Transvaal & Wittenbergen &Kings South Africa, Clasps South Africa 1901 & South Africa 1902. (3293 PTE E.WALTON. WORCESTER: REGT.). Enlisted in the parish of Old Swinford, Stourbridge in Worcestershire.  He enlisted with the Worcestershire Regiment on the 21st July 1892. He served his early part of his army career in the UK before being sent abroad to South Africa and taking part in the Boer War campaign.  He embarked to South Africa on the 17th December 1899 and served throughout the Boer War until his departure on the 14th September 1902. During the campaign he was awarded the Queens South Africa medal with clasps Wittenbergen, Transvaal and Cape Colony followed by the Kings South Africa with clasps South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902. All medals and clasp, verified in Attestation Papers. (with copy medal rolls, attestation papers and discharge papers).
