1914-15 Star. (736 Spr. D.Copeland. R.E.) Corporal David Copeland with the 1st /3rd ( Durham ) Company, Royal Engineers. Records indicate he entered the French theatre of operations on the 18th September 1915. He was wounded shortly afterwards and died of his wounds on the 12th January 1917 at the age of 19. He is remembered at the Puchevillers war cemetery. (with copy MIC, medal roll & CWGC)
