Awarded to Private James Taylor of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. Crimea Medal, Clasp Alma, Inkermann, Sebastopol (PVE. JAs TAYLOR.COLDM GDS) and Turkish Crimea Medal 'British issue' (PTE. JAS. TAYLOR. COLDM GUARDS.). Records confirm Private James Taylor as receiving of the Crimea Medal with clasps Alma, Inkermann, Sebastopol. Notes recorded indicate he was servant to Major General William Henry Bentinck KCB. Later he was discharged from the army but was pensioned off whilst in Chelsea Hospital. Medals are toned and both medals are privately engraved. (with copy medal rolls etc.).
